UN declares its position will not change after US President Donald Trump’s decision

The spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General confirmed Thursday that the United Nations’ position on Western Sahara has not changed following US President Donald Trump’s decision on Western Sahara.

“Guterres believes that a solution can still be reached on the basis of UN Security Council resolutions,” said Stephane Dujarric, who was speaking at his daily press conference.
